On page 1, line 15, after "equipment;" strike "and"
On page 1, line 16, after "(b)" strike "Separately" and insert "Unless specifically disclosed by the carrier in written notification to the provider that the payment includes the tax calculation for the equipment, separately"
On page 1, line 19, after "tax" insert "; and
(c) Be subject to all other terms and conditions of the health
benefit plan, including but not limited to, any applicable
coinsurances, deductibles, and copayments"
EFFECT: Does not require that the sales tax or use tax be identified separately if the carrier notifies the provider in writing that the payment includes the applicable tax. Requires the payment for durable medical equipment and mobility enhancing equipment must be subject to all other terms and conditions of the health benefit plan, including coinsurance, deductibles, and copayments.
