Background:

Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 2617 was enacted during the 2010 first special session. This Act eliminates a number of statutory boards, commissions, councils, and committees as of June 30, 2010. This bill was adopted during the first special session. The effective date of the bill will occur sometime in July, after the designated effective date for termination of most of the boards, commissions, councils, and committees. The bill contains multiple effective dates.

The Pesticide Advisory Board is eliminated as a statutory committee. The act contains a reference to a different group, the Pesticide Incident Reporting and Tracking Review Panel in the section that repeals the Pesticide Advisory Board.

Summary of Bill:

The bill corrects the effectives dates enacted by E2SHB 2617 by making the bill effective June 30, 2010 except for the Vehicle Equipment

The repeal of the Pesticide Incident Reporting and Tracking Review Panel (Panel) is eliminated which maintains the Panel with its existing membership.
