Background: In 2007 the Legislature amended provisions of the unemployment compensation statutes establishing contribution rates for new employers. In certain circumstances, the contribution rate for successor employers is calculated using the same process established for new employers. However, references to the new employer contribution rate statutes in the successor employer statutes were not amended by the 2007 legislation, resulting in incorrect references.
