Background: Crane is defined as power-operated equipment used in construction that can hoist, lower, and horizontally move a suspended load.

The Department of Labor and Industries adopts rules necessary to implement crane related statutes.

Summary of Bill: A construction crane safety review taskforce is established. Specifically, the members of the taskforce must review the following issues on crane safety:

The taskforce must report its findings and recommendations in the form of draft legislation to the Legislature by December 1, 2011.
