HB 2281 - DIGEST

Requests the governor to review all performance audits of state agencies conducted by the state auditor, identify each recommendation made in the performance audit, and prepare a progress report as part of the biennial budget documents on how each recommendation has been implemented that does not require legislative action.

Requires the appropriate legislative committees, within thirty days after a performance audit of a state agency conducted by the state auditor is issued to the public, to hold a work session or public hearing on the performance audit and adopt a joint memorial addressed to the appropriate state agencies expressing the legislature's views on the recommendations of the performance audit.

Requires budget documents to contain the performance audit implementation progress report prepared by the governor.
