SB 5125 - DIGEST

Allows the tabulation of absentee ballots to begin at 8:00 a.m. on the Monday immediately before the day of the primary or election.

Requires the results to be held in secrecy until after 8:00 p.m. on the day of the primary or election.

Requires the canvassing board to examine the oath on the return envelope that contains the security envelope and absentee ballot.

Requires certain absentee ballots to be received by the county auditor by 8:00 p.m. on the day of the primary or election in order to be valid.

Requires the county auditor to notify each voter whose absentee ballot was not counted.
