SB 5783 - DIGEST

Declares that it is now timely to craft amendments to certain statutes and rules to help maintain and improve the economic viability of family forest owners managing forest land across the state and provide incentives to keep their land in long-term forestry.

Revises provisions relating to small forest landowners, small parcels, and alternative management plans.

Prohibits certain small forest landowners from participating in the forestry riparian easement program.

Requires the forest practices board to initiate and complete a process to revise certain forest practices rules.
