     On page 3, after line 33, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 3.  A new section is added to chapter 71A.20 RCW to read as follows:

     The department must adopt rules requiring businesses that provide residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in supported living, state-operated living alternatives, and other community-based residential services to use the same accounting systems used by the residential habilitation centers to document their delivery of services to this population."

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:  Businesses that provide residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in the community must use the same accounting systems that businesses use to document services provided to the Residential Habilitation Centers.
