(ii) Must establish a sliding fee schedule for all patients whose income is between 101 and 200 percent of the federal poverty level, adjusted for family size, for granting discounts from the full amount of the patient responsibility portion of their hospital charges.

| EFFECT: Establishes minimum requirements for providing charity care for hospitals designated as critical access hospitals such that patients whose income is up to 100 percent of the Federal Poverty Level receive charity care for the full amount of the hospital charges and patients between 101 and 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level receive a discount based on a sliding fee schedule. (Restoring existing statutory and regulatory requirements.)
