On page 1, beginning on line 14 of the striking amendment, after "(b)" strike all material through "person" on line 17 and insert "The pursuit is necessary for the purpose of identifying or apprehending the person;
(c) The person poses ((an imminent threat to the safety of)) a serious risk of harm to others"
Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.
| EFFECT: Restores current language providing that a vehicular pursuit must be necessary for the purpose of identifying or apprehending the person. Modifies the threat threshold for a vehicular pursuit. Prohibits a vehicular pursuit unless the person in the vehicle poses a serious risk harm to others (rather than a threat of serious injury or death to another person as provided in the striking amendment, or an imminent threat to the safety of others as provided in current law).
