EFFECT: Exempts school districts, charter schools, and state-tribal education compact schools that otherwise provide all students with meals at no charge from the new requirement to provide breakfast and lunch without charge under certain conditions. Directs school districts, charter schools, and state-tribal education compact schools to verify free and reduced-price meal eligibility applications annually, as required by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
