On page 3, beginning on line 24, after "(c)" strike "and (e)"

Beginning on page 3, line 33, after "(iv)" strike all material through "subsection." on page 4, line 3, and insert "(A) Except as provided in (d)(iv)(B) of this subsection (1), 3.5 percent of the portion of the selling price that is greater than $3,025,000; or

(B) 3.0 percent of the portion of the selling price of any multiple-unit housing that is greater than $3,025,000. For the purposes of this subsection (1)(d), "multiple-unit housing" has the same meaning as in RCW 84.14.010."

On page 9, after line 20, insert the following:

"(c) This section does not apply to the sale of any multiple-unit housing, as defined in RCW 84.14.010."

EFFECT: Exempts the selling price of multiple-unit housing from the state real estate excise tax rate increase. Exempts multiple-unit housing from new local option real estate excise tax.
