On page 3, line 26, after "collected in" strike "2024" and insert "the first year after the election at which it is approved"

On page 3, after line 26, insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 5. The secretary of state shall submit this act to the people for their adoption and ratification, or rejection, at the next general election to be held in this state, in accordance with Article II, section 1 of the state Constitution and the laws adopted to facilitate its operation."

Correct the title.

EFFECT: Adds a referendum clause, requiring a vote of the people for adoption or rejection at the next general election. Makes the effective date contingent on the passage of the referendum.
