On page 3, after line 7, insert the following:
"(j) The detached accessory dwelling unit is either part of an owner-occupied property or offered exclusively for long-term rentals of three months or longer.
(k) The detached accessory dwelling unit is not offered or utilized as a short-term rental for business use.
(l) The detached accessory dwelling unit is located in a county which has implemented a program for ensuring that accessory dwelling units authorized under this section are not utilized as short-term rentals for business use."
| EFFECT: Requires that detached accessory dwelling units be part of an owner-occupied property or be offered exclusively for long term rentals, and not be used for short-term business use rentals. Requires that counties authorizing detached accessory dwelling units implement a program to ensure that such units are not being rented for short-term business use.
