AN ACT Relating to delinquent excise taxes; and adding a new section to chapter 82.32 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 82.32 RCW to read as follows:

          Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, no interest or penalty may be collected under this chapter on taxes imposed under chapter 82.04 RCW which would exceed the amount of interest that could be charged for the same period under RCW 19.52.020 on the amounts overdue.
