AN ACT Relating to game; and adding a new section to chapter 77.32 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 77.32 RCW to read as follows:

          The department of game, or its successor agency, shall, when making a request to the legislature for a change in the fees for any licenses, permits, tags, and stamps, present information regarding the cost of managing fish and wildlife programs, and the revenue derived from the sale of licenses, permits, tags, and stamps for each fish and wildlife program.  Such information may be presented using average costs and revenues for the five years preceding the request.  Information shall be presented which shows the costs and expenditures for the following programs:  Big game, upland game, waterfowl, fur-bearers, nongame, steelhead trout, cutthroat/Dolly Varden trout, lowland lake trout, alpine lake fish, warmwater fish, and resident stream fish.  Costs will exclude expenditures authorized in the capital budget.
