AN ACT Relating to retired teachers; and making an appropriation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     The sum of forty-one million dollars is appropriated for the biennium ending June 30, 1987, from the general fund to the department of retirement systems to be distributed equitably to persons currently receiving benefits under chapter 41.32 RCW who retired before January 1, 1972.  The moneys shall be distributed in a lump sum to each eligible person and the distributions shall be completed before June 30, 1987.
