AN ACT Relating to special districts.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.     The legislature hereby finds that several taxing areas within the state have been determined to have aggregate levy amounts in excess of the $9.15 limit established by RCW 84.52.043.  This situation will cause certain taxing districts to have their levy amounts reduced on a pro-rata basis until the aggregate levy amount is reduced to $9.15.  Such a reduction will cause hardship to all taxing districts and severe hardship to multicounty districts.  It is the intent of the legislature to act to relieve this hardship.
