AN ACT Relating to internal services; and adding a new section to chapter 44.28 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 44.28 RCW to read as follows:

          The legislative budget committee shall conduct a biennial review of state internal services including printing, maintenance, internal communication systems, and data processing to evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency.  Whenever possible, the review will include a comparative study of private sector commercial services.
