AN ACT Relating to liquor control board employees; and amending RCW 66.16.030.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

        Sec. 1.  Section 6, chapter 62, Laws of 1933 ex. sess. and RCW 66.16.030 are each amended to read as follows:

          (1) The sale of liquor at each state liquor store shall be conducted by a person employed under this title to be known as a "vendor," who shall, together with the employees under his direction, under the regulations of the board, be responsible for the carrying out of this title and the regulations, so far as they relate to the conduct of the store and the sale of liquor thereat.

          (2) No vendor shall have his or her employment terminated because of a violation of any regulation of the board when:  (a) The vendor is lured or induced to commit a violation which the vendor had not otherwise intended to commit; and (b) the act of entrapment originated from employees of the liquor control board.

          (3) Any vendor who has had their employment terminated pursuant to an act of entrapment prohibited by this section shall be entitled to apply for reinstatement, and such vendor shall be restored to employment with full civil service rights held prior to dismissal.
