AN ACT Relating to the Washington State Ferries; and adding a new section to chapter 47.60 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 47.60 RCW to read as follows:

          The secretary of transportation may adopt regulations governing the use and control of Washington State Ferries parking facilities, including the imposition of parking fees.  Revenue derived from parking fees shall be placed in the same account and shall be used for the same purposes as revenue from ferry tolls.  Violation of a regulation authorized by this section constitutes a traffic infraction and may be heard and determined in accordance with chapter 46.63 RCW.
