AN ACT Relating to counties; and amending RCW 36.32.110.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 36.32.110, chapter 4, Laws of 1963, as amended by section 1, chapter 240, Laws of 1981 and RCW 36.32.110 are each amended to read as follows:

          The county auditor shall be the clerk of the board of county commissioners unless, by mutual agreement between the board of county commissioners and the county auditor, the board of county commissioners designates one of its employees to serve as clerk who shall attend its meetings and keep a record of its proceedings.  If mutual agreement is not reached by the thirty-first day of December in any year, the county auditor shall be the clerk of the board of county commissioners for the succeeding year.
