AN ACT Relating to state employees' insurance and health care; and adding a new section to chapter 41.05 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.05 RCW to read as follows:

          An account is created within the state employees insurance fund for paying as funds are available the employers' contribution for insurance and health care plans for employees who are employed by more than one state agency or institution of higher education and who would be eligible if the hours worked for the multiple employers were worked for one employer.  Upon application of the employee, the state agency or institution of higher education shall certify the time the employee worked to the board.  This section does not apply to persons working more than half-time for one employer.
