AN ACT Relating to automatic dialing and announcing devices; and adding a new section to chapter 80.36 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 80.36 RCW to read as follows:

          A person may not utilize an automated dialing or push-button or tone-activated address signaling system with a prerecorded message for the sole purpose of soliciting persons to purchase goods or services, or requesting survey information where results are to be used directly for the purpose of soliciting persons to purchase goods or services.
