AN ACT Relating to evidence in personal injury and wrongful death actions; and adding a new section to chapter 4.22 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 4.22 RCW to read as follows:

          In an action for personal injuries or wrongful death, any agreement entered into by the plaintiff regarding damages, including but not limited to covenants not to execute or enforce judgments resulting from the personal injury or wrongful death, shall be communicated to the court, and the jury, if any, may be informed of such agreements and the results of any judicial proceedings held pursuant to this chapter.
