WHEREAS, The House of Representatives and Senate recognize the value of an informed public in a free and democratic society; and

          WHEREAS, An informed public is in the interest of honest and open government;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the House of Representatives of the state of Washington, the Senate concurring, That conference committees between the House and Senate be open to the public; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the time, place, and subject matter of conference committee meetings shall be announced in open session on the floor of both the House of Representatives and Senate.
