AN ACT Relating to nursing homes; and amending RCW 18.51.030.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 4, chapter 117, Laws of 1951 and RCW 18.51.030 are each amended to read as follows:

(1) After July 1, 1951 no person shall operate or maintain a nursing home in this state without a license under this chapter.

(2) Any nursing home providing home-delivered nursing services pursuant to RCW 18.51.010(5)(a) and meeting the inspection requirements of RCW 18.51.091 shall be considered a certified home health agency as defined in RCW 70.126.040 strictly for the purposes of RCW 48.21A.090.
