AN ACT Relating to the effective date of racketeering laws; amending RCW 9A.82.901; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 21, chapter 270, Laws of 1984 and RCW 9A.82.901 are each amended to read as follows:

          This act shall take effect on July 1, ((1985)) 1986.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.     This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect June 30, 1985.
