AN ACT Relating to medical services offered by hospitals; and amending RCW 70.41.180.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

        Sec. 1.  Section 18, chapter 267, Laws of 1955 and RCW 70.41.180 are each amended to read as follows:

(1) Nothing contained in this chapter shall in any way authorize the board to establish standards, rules and regulations governing the professional services rendered by any physician.

(2) Hospitals offering obstetrics and surgical services shall include access to tubal ligation procedures when such procedures are not otherwise offered in the hospital service area as defined by the board, if patients are advised as to the nature, benefit, and risks associated with such procedures pursuant to RCW 7.70.060.
