AN ACT Relating to entrepreneurial education; and creating new sections.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     There is hereby created a pilot project in entrepreneurial education.  The superintendent of public instruction shall develop plans for a pilot program and assess the program's funding requirements.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.     The superintendent of public instruction shall appoint a committee to develop model curriculum for a pilot program in entrepreneurial education.  The committee shall be composed of at least the following persons:

          (1) A representative from a community college business program;

          (2) A representative from the small business improvement center at Washington State University;

          (3) A representative from the department of trade and economic development; and

          (4) A representative from private business.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.     The committee established in section 2 of this act shall report to the legislature by January 15, 1987, with a plan to implement a pilot program in entrepreneurial education, including a proposed curriculum and funding needs.
