WHEREAS, It is of paramount importance to establish cutoff dates for the introduction and consideration of legislation during the 1986 Regular Session of the Forty-Ninth Legislature;

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate of the State of Washington, the House of Representatives concurring, That all bills, memorials, and joint resolutions to be considered by the Legislature shall be on the request list of the Code Reviser's Office by 5:00 p.m. on the fifth day, Friday, January 17, 1986; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That at 5:00 p.m. on the tenth day, Wednesday, January 22, 1986, all signed bill requests shall be in the Code Reviser's Office; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Friday, January 24, 1986, the twelfth day, under the proper order of business, shall be the final day for introduction of bills, memorials, and joint resolutions; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Friday, February 7, 1986, the twenty-sixth day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports of Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the Senate with the exception of the supplemental budgets, appropriations for public works projects pursuant to  chapter 446, Laws of 1985 and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the House with the exception of the supplemental budgets, appropriations for public works projects pursuant to chapter 446, Laws of 1985 and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Monday, February 10, 1986, the twenty-ninth day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports from the ways and means committees with the exception of the supplemental budgets and appropriations for public works projects pursuant to chapter 446, Laws of 1985; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That commencing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 1986, the thirty-seventh day, except for the supplemental budgets and appropriations for public works projects pursuant to chapter 446, Laws of 1985, the Senate shall only consider House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions, and the House shall only consider Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Friday, February 28, 1986, the forty-seventh day, shall be the final day to read in committee reports of House bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the Senate with the exception of the supplemental budgets, appropriations for public works projects pursuant to chapter 446, Laws of 1985 and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and Senate bills, memorials, and joint resolutions in the House with the exception of the supplemental budgets, appropriations for public works projects pursuant to chapter 446, Laws of 1985 and committee reports from the ways and means committee; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Monday, March 3, 1986, the fiftieth day, shall be the last day to read in committee reports from the ways and means committee; and

          BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That after 5:00 p.m. on the fifty-fourth day of the session, Friday March 7, 1986, neither the Senate nor the House may consider any bills except messages pertaining to amendments, matters of difference between the two houses, conference and free conference reports, and matters incident and pertaining to the interim and to the closing of the business of the Regular Session of the Legislature.
