AN ACT Relating to open public meetings; and adding a new section to chapter 42.30 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 32.30 RCW to read as follows:

          If a nonprofit corporation or organization receives moneys from the state or a political subdivision of the state, the expenditure and administration of the moneys shall be subject to this chapter.  Meetings of the governing body of the nonprofit corporation or organization, when concerning the use of the public moneys, shall be open and public as provided in this chapter and, for this purpose, the nonprofit corporation or organization shall be considered a public agency under this chapter.

          This chapter does not apply to meetings, or portions of meetings, of nonprofit corporations and organizations if the matters under consideration do not involve the expenditure or administration of moneys received from the state or a political subdivision of the state.
