AN ACT Relating to lobbyists; and adding a new section to chapter 42.17 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 42.17 RCW to read as follows:

          During a legislative session, a lobbyist registered under this chapter or a business that has a lobbyist as one of the principal owners or partners, shall not enter into a personal services contract with the legislature, any committee, office, officer, or employee of the legislature, the executive branch, any officer or employee of the executive branch, or any state agency.
