AN ACT Relating to ferries; and adding a new section to chapter 47.60 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 47.60 RCW to read as follows:

          All vessels in the fleet of the Washington State Ferry System shall be equipped with depth sounding equipment that will transmit an instantaneous reading to the wheelhouse.
