AN ACT Relating to memberships in professional associations by classified state employees; and adding a new section to chapter 41.06 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.06 RCW to read as follows:

          If a person holding a classified position under this chapter is required by statute to be a member of a professional association, the employer shall reimburse the employee for the dues and fees required by the professional association.
