AN ACT Relating to the Washington state patrol memorial plaque; creating new sections; and providing an expiration date.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.     There is created a joint Washington state patrol memorial plaque committee consisting of the president of the senate, the speaker of the house of representatives, and the chairperson and the ranking minority member of the transportation committees of the house and senate.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.     The Washington state patrol memorial plaque committee shall design a plaque to commemorate and honor troopers of the Washington state patrol who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.  The memorial plaque shall be placed in such a location in the state capitol building as is deemed appropriate by the Washington state patrol memorial plaque committee.

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 3.     This act shall expire on December 31, 1988.
