AN ACT Relating to swimming pools; adding a new section to chapter 70.90 RCW; and prescribing penalties.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 70.90 RCW to read as follows:

          The owner of a multifamily housing facility that includes a swimming pool shall conspicuously post instructions in the vicinity of the pool for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  The secretary of social and health services shall adopt rules for the enforcement of this section.  The rules shall provide for civil monetary penalties.
