AN ACT Relating to highway maintenance; and adding a new section to chapter 47.28 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 47.28 RCW to read as follows:

          The department shall not use, or permit the use of, salt in any form or any material containing salt for removal of snow or ice on any state highway.
