AN ACT Relating to violent residents at state residential schools; and adding a new section to chapter 72.33 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 72.33 RCW to read as follows:

          The superintendent of each residential school shall provide for the control of any resident whose behavior jeopardizes the safety of other residents or staff.  The procedures shall include but are not limited to segregation and additional supervision. The secretary shall adopt rules to carry out the provisions of this section.
