AS REPORTED BY COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY JANUARY 18, 1989

BACKGROUND:

Some sections of the RCW contain poorly organized subsections. Others make imprecise references to whole chapters of the RCW rather than to particular sections.  Several sections of the code relating to permissible interest charges make incorrect reference to the Federal Reserve Bank of California.

SUMMARY:

SUBSTITUTE BILL:  Technical corrections to the RCW are made to reorganize subsections, to make references more precise, and to refer to the Federal Reserve Board rather than the Federal Reserve Bank.

SUBSTITUTE BILL COMPARED TO ORIGINAL:  The substitute corrects one additional improper reference to the Federal Reserve Board and makes a grammatical correction.

Fiscal Note:      Not Requested.
