BACKGROUND:

Many people living near airports are routinely exposed to the exhaust fumes of jet aircraft and are concerned about possible adverse health effects.

SUMMARY:

The Department of Ecology is required to study exhaust emissions from jet aircraft to determine adverse health effects to nearby residents, possible mitigation practices, and the need for emissions monitoring.
