BACKGROUND:

 

It has been alleged that positive environmental changes are made to give an inaccurate impression of the typical day-to-day operations of a state facility, when it is known that public officials will be making inspections.

 

SUMMARY:

 

Superintendents of state institutions are prohibited from misrepresenting the typical day-to- day operations of a state facility to public officials of federal, state, or local governments in conjunction with an inspection of the facility.
