BACKGROUND:

 

The Recycling Committee for Recycling Markets, created within the Department of Trade and Economic Development, is responsible for making recommendations for development of new markets for recycled materials.  It has authority to enter into contracts for market feasibility studies, consultant services, and any additional contracts necessary to assist in its responsibilities.

 

The committee may enter into such contracts provided that state funds to do so are matched by at least an equal amount from private sources.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Recycling Committee for Recycling Markets shall endeavor to ensure that state funds are matched by funds or in-kind services from private sources to the maximum extent possible.
