AN ACT Relating to compensatory time for exempt state employees; and adding a new section to chapter 41.04 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 41.04 RCW to read as follows:

          (1) Personnel exempted from chapter 41.06 RCW are not eligible to receive compensatory time.  "Compensatory time" means time off in lieu of cash payment for overtime.

          (2) Vacation and sick leave for personnel exempted from chapter 41.06 RCW shall be governed by the rules adopted under RCW 41.06.150(8).
