The Senate was called to order at 1:25 p.m. by the acting President Pro Tempore, Senator Fain presiding. No roll call was taken.

On motion of Senator Roach, the reading of the Journal of the previous day was dispensed with and it was approved.

AN ACT Relating to property tax and business and occupation tax exemptions on intangible property; amending RCW 82.04.4281; creating a new section; repealing RCW 84.36.070; and providing an effective date.

SB 6112  by Senators Hatfield and Pearson

AN ACT Relating to increasing participation in recreational fishing by lowering licensure costs; and amending RCW 77.32.470.

 

Referred to Committee on Natural Resources & Parks.

 

MOTION

 

On motion of Senator Roach, all measures listed on the Introduction and First Reading report were referred to the committees as designated.

 

Senator Roach, having switched floor roles, remarked on Senator Fain’s presence at the rostrum as the presiding officer and herself as the acting Floor Leader for the Majority Coalition Caucus, noting “moments of glory … for thirty seconds.”
