Purpose.

The board recognizes the need to establish a means of proactively providing early recognition and treatment options for denturists whose competency may be impaired due to drug or alcohol use. The board declares such denturists be treated and monitored so they can return to, or continue to, practice their profession in a way that safeguards the public. The Washington recovery and monitoring program (WRAMP) is the board's approved substance use disorder monitoring program under RCW 18.130.175. The board may refer denturists impaired by substance use disorder to WRAMP as an alternative to instituting, or in connection with, disciplinary proceedings as defined in RCW 18.130.160.
