No agricultural employer, commercial pesticide handler employer, or other person involved in the use of a pesticide to which this chapter applies, shall intimidate, threaten, coerce, or discriminate against any worker or handler for complying with or attempting to comply with this chapter, or because the worker or handler provided, caused to be provided or is about to provide information to the employer or the EPA or any duly authorized representative of the Washington state department of agriculture regarding conduct that the worker or handler reasonably believes violates this chapter, has made a complaint, testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing concerning compliance with this chapter, or has objected to, or refused to participate in, any activity, policy, practice, or assigned task that the worker or handler reasonably believed to be in violation of this chapter. Any such intimidation, threat, coercion, or discrimination violates the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Section 12 (a)(2)(G), 7 U.S.C. 136j (a)(2)(G).
