(1) At the end of its depreciation period, the equipment leased to a handler/packer will be declared "surplus" and offered for sale to the handler/packer or their designee.
(2) If a handler/packer wants to sell their leased equipment to a designee, they must complete a designee form and have the form approved by the department.
