A program that has a pet or pets must:
(1) Inform children's parents and guardians that the child care program has a pet; and
(2) Have a pet policy in the parent handbook that includes:
(a) How children will have access to pets;
(b) How children will be kept safe around pets;
(c) Pet immunizations; and
(d) Handling of pet waste.
