The board requires the assistance of executive officers of any state and requests the assistance of executive officers of any federal program operating in the state of Washington, under which an osteopathic physician or physician's assistant is employed to provide patient care services, to report to the board whenever such an osteopathic physician or physician's assistant has demonstrated his/her incompetency or negligence in the practice of osteopathic medicine, or has otherwise committed unprofessional conduct, or is a mentally or physically impaired practitioner.
